Airbnb and VRBO are also widely available in the greater Athens area. We recommend the Five Points neighborhood for its proximity and walkability to restaurants, but anywhere in Athens is easy to get to!

For anyone flying into/out of ATL, an option for transport to and fro is the Groome Transportion - Airport Shuttle. Drops off and picks up in downtown Athens.

2. AthFest is this weekend, June 20-22. Local, grassroots music festival with three free outdoor stages downtown. "Locals mingle with out of towners while music fills the air and art, food and fun fill the streets." Just please remember to come to the ceremony.

3. The University of Georgia State Botanical Garden is just minutes away from the wedding venue. Free, beautiful gardens with meandering walking trails throughout the property. Highly recommended.

4. With 80 bars in a single square mile, Athens holds the (somewhat disputed?) title of most bars per capita in the US. Take that information as you will.
